Indoor R/C Flying Page

Indoor Flying Info 2004/5

Compared with last year we have increased the hours by 66% AND reduced the cost by 33%. This, combined with a venue with easier parking, should ensure we cover our costs and have even more fun.

There will be a bar adjacent to the flight hall for those wishing to indulge. The Sports Connection management have granted the use of the main large hall at a special rate, hoping that some of us will assist increasing the bar takings. Feel free to bring partners and friends along too!

New to indoor? The indoor crowd is well known for their hospitality and willingness to help each other and beginners. See Modelcraft (tel 024 7667 6409), or Graham, Coventry Activity Toys Centre (tel 024 7633 4787) for a suitable model. Indoor models can be flown outdoors on calm days too.

Rules much as before: No aeroplane over 300g or 380 size motors, no helicopters larger than 400 size motor. Evidence of insurance for all fliers required. (BMFA membership covers this).

In the past we have mostly managed without slots, but if there are too many in the air at once then slots will be arranged to suit those present.

Flying "off the peg" 35MHz.

The usual courtesy for other fliers and spectators is expected, so everybody has the maximum fun and flight time.

The following welcome:

All fliers and members are requested to act as safety officers, and encourage competent safe flying. If you have concerns with anyone's flying, please ensure the committee are advised if you are unable to resolve it with the perpetrator. Safe, enjoyable flying for all is our aim.

CADMAC members will be requested to make a small contribution (£2). Non members will be charged £5.
