On behalf of the committee I would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a good flying new year. If you feel like getting out for a bit of fresh air over the Christmas break, we will be having a Boxing Day “fly in”. If you did not have enough to eat on Christmas day, there will be bacon butties and mince pies available. Oh, and don’t forget to bring a model to fly.
Those of you that did not come to the social night last Friday, missed a treat. Unfortunately the best team (yellow) did not win. The annual trophies were presented and the results were as follows :-
Scale - Richard Rogers Indoor – Mathew Spencer
We also have a pylon racing champion in the club. This year Paul Edgecombe won the British Nationals in Club 2000 and also the Group 2 annual Championship
If you remember, a Firebird model was donated by Dave the new owner of Modelcraft, for a club “spot the model” competition. We only had around twenty entries and Graham Garner was the eventual winner. Enjoy flying it Graham.
The club web site is now easier for anyone to find. The club has now bought the domain name www.cadmac.org . Just type that into your browser window and you will go straight to the new look club site. The site is now kept totally up to date by Lee and Mark. Take a look. You may even see your own picky for the world to see.
The next date for indoor flying is 21st of December. Yes it is just before Christmas but it is the only date available this month. The next date after that is 25rd of January. Not only will we continue with Pico Pylon but there will also be “Indoor Limbo”. The most passes in 60 seconds takes the crown. Try it if you dare!
If you want the “News sheet” to continue next year, vote for it at the AGM. It will cost about £1 from your subs to have it posted an extra four times a year.
