Typical day
This timetable shows a typical day out to the Long Mynd.
| 20:00 | Monday evening club meeting to discuss the weather forecast and numbers. |
| 09:00 | Tuesday morning assemble at the
Peugeot social club car park. Transfer aircraft into the minibus. |
| 09:30 | Depart |
| 09:35 | Stop to fuel the minibus. |
| 11:00 | Stop at Church Stretton Co-op for
a pee and to buy lunch. Argue with the car park attendant. |
| 11:25 | Derek gets out at the top of the hill and pokes his finger in the air, to decide which way the wind is really blowing, and so which slope is best. |
| 11:30 | Unload a suitable aircraft or 2
from the van. Walk over to the slope. Try to be the 1st
with something in the air. Or, have something to eat 1st. |
| 13:00 | This flying lark is all very well, but it's about time I had something to eat (usually back in the minibus). |
| 13:30 | Fly some more. |
| 15:00 | Pack up and head for home. |
| 17:30 | Arrive back at the Peugeot social club car park. |
