<28th December 2002> - Indoor limbo

The results have been updated for the December indoor flying session. There wasn't the usual pylon racing but there was a limbo instead. The rules for the limbo are here and the results are here.

<2nd December 2002> - Club Newsletter Section Added

Graham has created a club newsletter for December. It looks like this may become a regular feature so I have created a new area on the site for it under News->Newsletters.

<17th November 2002> - More Links added

I have added a few more links to the Links Page. I have also added links to the What's On and Links Pages for the people that have presented at the club meetings. I will try to get these out before the meetings in future to help people decide if they want to go.

<15th November 2002> - November Long Mynd trip pictures added

<11th November 2002> - A few changes with the album

I have renamed all of the movie clips in the album to give them a more descriptive title as there is no preview for them.

I have added a Webmonkey's Picks section to the album. This contains the images and movies that I consider to be the best in the album. I recommend you look at these picures first before delving into the rest of the album

<3rd November 2002> - Indoor Flying Update

Pictures from yesterday's indoor flying have been added to the album here. These include pictures of last season's winners of the Pico Stik pylon racing and Butterfly receiving their trophies from Graham. Also there is a picture of Chris Bates receiving a trophy for winning the first Pico Stik pylon race of this season.

<29th October 2002> - CADMAC Album Live

The Picture and Video archive is live. You can get to it by selecting About The Club->Club Album from the menu bar or by clicking on this link.

<29th October 2002> - New Site Goes Live

The site is now maintained by Lee (as Graham does not have the time to update it any more). I have had an initial trawl through the site and tidied up all of the broken links and out of date information but left the content largely unchanged. I am planning on putting lots of other features onto the site as time goes on. I have a few ideas about what to do with the site but I am open to suggestions so tell me what you think. The ideas I have so far are:

• A large Picture and Video archive. I have 5Gb of available webspace and I have a program that can put photo and video albums on the web so I can use that to make a club photo album. If you have any pictures or video, let me know. I prefer digital pictures but I can also handle transparencies and prints (transparencies give better results). I can only handle digital video though.
• A page showing the club comitee and other members that people may need to talk to (like instructors or people that organise events). This page should have pictures of everyone (if they consent) so that new members will be able to recognise them. It would also have contact information for people (again if they consent).
• A list of crystal frequencies used in the club and when they are likely to be used, e.g. on the flying field at Wolston, when slope soaring or indoor. This will allow new members or existing members looking for a good channel for a spare crystal to see which channels are likely to be free.
• I am looking at ways to allow multiple people to maintain the site over the internet (so that I don't have to do it all myself :o)). This will allow other poeple to maintain sub sites (like Mark's slope soaring site). This would also allow people to publish reports on events to the CADMAC site if they wish.
• I am planning on putting another bulletin board on the site because I think I can make a faster one that doesn't have adverts on it.

If you like any of these ideas or think that they are a waste of time let me know. Also let me know if you have any comments on the new site: did you like the old one better?, Is the new one slow?, Was Graham's punctuation better :o)?, etc.
